Flatten The Mountain Rewards & Money Guide

Quick answer: blocks pay Cash for in-run upgrades; buried chests (50 Gems in dated records) and mountain completions (400–500 Gems reported) pay Gems for permanent pickaxes; no code rewards exist in any checked source.

The economy runs on two currencies with separate jobs. Cash is the per-run engine — mined from blocks, spent in the Skill Tree, gone when the run's spending stops mattering. Gems are the account-level engine — collected from chests and completions, spent once on tools that make every future run faster. Rewards below name their source and date; numbers captured before the September 25, 2026 Moon update are labeled as pre-update snapshots.

Gem economy

Where Gems go: the Pickaxe Store

The reason chest hunting and completions are worth planning around.

The lobby store converts Gems into permanent mining tools — the documented September 1 roster runs from the Stone Pick through the Storm Hammer, with the Storm Hammer priced at 396 Gems (dated September 2, 2026) and a Thundercall passive that destroys a struck block outright 5% of the time. Against the documented income sources, a Storm Hammer costs about eight chests' worth of Gems, or one completion plus change — which is why the store, not the Skill Tree, is where a completion payout lands.

Plan the grind backwards: at 50 Gems per chest, the store's pricing sets your chest quota; at 400–500 Gems per completion, one full flatten roughly matches the Storm Hammer on its own. The chest guide covers the layer-clearing search method, and the pickaxe guide covers what each tool is worth testing.

Cash economy

Where Cash goes: the Skill Tree

Cash has exactly one documented sink, and it is a good one.

Every documented Skill Tree purchase is Cash: from the $1 Damage I opening node through Drone I ($5), Turret I (~$23), and Auto Mine (~$200) in the September 1–2 snapshots. Because upgrades raise your mining speed, early Cash compounds — the documented $5 Drone I is arguably the highest-leverage purchase in the game: it mines while you dodge the eagle, climb layers, and walk to chests.

Cash

In-run progression currency. Spent in the Skill Tree on Player, Drone, and Turret upgrades while you mine.

Gems

Meta currency. Spent in the lobby Pickaxe Store on permanent mining tools; the store also lists Robux prices.

Interpretation

Reading the reward numbers honestly

Three caveats that keep these figures useful instead of misleading.

Pre-update snapshots

Every Gem figure here was captured September 1–2, 2026. The September 25 update promised a faster Mountain and added a second map — re-verify chest and completion values in-game before budgeting a purchase around them.

Reported ≠ guaranteed

The 50-Gem chest value rests on two dated public records; the 400-vs-500 completion gap has no established cause. Check your Gem balance before and after opening — that two-second habit is the whole verification method.

No code shortcuts

Unlike most Roblox incremental games, this one has no code system in any checked source — so there are no bonus rewards to claim, and any site or video claiming "working codes" for this game is describing a different game or making it up.

Questions

Rewards FAQ

How do you earn money in Flatten The Mountain?

One way: mine blocks. Every destroyed block pays Cash, and Cash buys every Skill Tree upgrade — Player, Drone, and Turret nodes — so your effective income is blocks per minute times cash per block, both of which you can measure in your own run with the calculator.

What are Gems and where do they come from?

Gems are the meta currency that buys permanent pickaxes in the lobby store. Community-documented sources (dated September 1–2, 2026): buried chests at 50 Gems each, and completing the mountain at 400 Gems on a first clear with a later run recorded at 500 — the reason for the difference was never established.

What is the best reward in the game?

For account progress, the completion payout (a reported 400–500 Gems) plus the chests you collect along the way fund the pickaxe store, where the top documented tool — the 396-Gem Storm Hammer with its 5% block-destroying passive — is the biggest single power purchase. For per-hour income, steady mining with early Drone automation beats one-off rewards.

Are there code rewards?

No code system has surfaced for this game in any checked public source, as of October 20, 2026. No redemption flow, no code strings, no tracker coverage. If the developer adds codes, they would most likely be announced on the DomBlox Games community feed — the codes page tracks the checked result.

What do you get for flattening the mountain?

Two things: the premise payoff — the sun returns so your character can tan, per the official description — and the reported Gem completion payout of 400–500. Since the September 25, 2026 update added the Moon map, whether a second-map completion pays anything different has no public documentation yet.
